### molarity

if i'm taking 1M 50ml of tris HCl in 500ml solution then what will be the molarity of the solution?

calculate amount of solute then divide by total volume.

Are you confusing Molarity and moles? 1M is 1 molar. 1 molar at 500mL is still 1 Molar at 50mL. It is the number of moles that will change.
Look at the formula; Molarity = moles/Volume in liters. So to calculate number of moles of a 1 molar solution at 500mL we would use 1M = moles/.5L , since 500mL = .5L
Using algebra we get 1M x .5L = moles.

Going with that you should be able to get number of moles at 1M 50mL.

Or I may be misunderstanding your question. Perhaps you could state the question verbatim.
