And can H₂O₂be broken down by catalysts other than those found in living tissue?

peroxide is used as a rocket fuel. I don't think you can use enzymes for that sort of decomposition.

dont know about any catalyst other than those found in living organism. but u can use oxidizing agent (KMnO4+sulfuric acid) or chlorine. It'll produce O2.

platinum is used in cars, definitely inorganic and not found in organism.
