the RNA synthesized on one of the DNA strands is ..........?
the RNA synthesized on one of the DNA strands is a) mRNA b) tRNA c) rRNA d) all of the above?
Well, my book in the back said it was all of them, I thought maybe it was a mistake and the answer should've been just mRNA.
I want to confirm it's right, is it really all of them?

you can say either it's all of them or none of them.
How do you think rRNA and tRNA originate? By transcription, right? However, they all need to be processed, so what is transcribed are pre-mRNA, pre-rRNA (and I'm not sure about tRNA, whether is it processed as well), but since there is no such answer, pick d)

Cis or trans? That's what matters.

I don't know if splicing is involved, but tRNA at least goes through lots of base editing, giving rise to the zoo of non-canonical bases like inosine etc. that are found on tRNAs.
