Cell Reproduction---I need Major Help!

Post by violinist1225 » Sat Feb 20, 2010 9:34 pm

I need help filling out a table regarding cell reproduction.

The question asks if a cell has 19 cells in normal lung Interphase, how many cells remain in Prophase (it says 1 does), Metaphase (it says 1), Anaphase and Telophase (I need help with these two).

Why is that number cells in prophase and metaphase? And what would it be for Anaphase and telophase? Why?

The question goes to ask percentage of cells dividing and percentage of cells at risk?

How would I approach this?

I would appreciate someone helping me with this question and simply explaining 'why' it is what it is in short terms.

You mean if a cell has 19 chromosomes?

I'm not sure any of us understand the basis for the question - what source are you working out of? I'm guessing that you have a cell cycle with time proportions...
