thats cos china is ideal for the production of rice and has produced it for many centuries and so readily available whereas its not as ideal to potatoe growth and isn't produce as much there, and so rice is cheaper as theres more of it

thats very true a defensive mechanism! i neva wud've thought of it that way, there are also animals that produce dangerous substances for self defence like certain frogs produe LSD that makes thier predators see things that rent really there so the frog can simply walk away whilst the predator hallu...

sea water has a lower conc. because the salt in it attracts many of the water moelcules so that there is not a very high amount of free water molecules that can move around and enter osmosis, and so it makes us or plants very thristy

adults have alot more cells to feed and so need more nutrients, look in a text book in the dietary requirements and you should see the differences in metabolism over the years

the cell wall is limited in size but can alter position and shape and so is limited in some ways, the cell wall mainly supplies the structure of the plants along with the water in teh vacuole the plant is supported and can stand up correctly

1. well control measures are basically wat u hve to control for the experiment to be fair like the salt conc. or the potatoes size, the only thing that should vary in teh ebakers is the conc. of the salt otherwise the eexperiment isn't fair and your results may look funny. 2.limitations are harder.....

yer like protease is called that because it breaks down protein
or lipase that breaks down lipids
always remember enzyme names normally end is ase other than a few like pepsin that break that rule

enzymes are catalysts that speed up a reaction process, best to look in some text books though as they got some cool diagrams that make it easier to understand than me woffalin on, the Tutora is a very good book to look at if you hve it ;)
