ANOTHER CHEM PROBLEM

What is w when 2.83 kg of H2O(l), initially at 25.0oC, is converted into water vapour at 109oC against a constant external pressure of 1.00 atm? Assume that the vapour behaves ideally and that the density of liquid water is 1.00 g/mL. (Remember to include a "+" or "-" sign as app...

Look for the key terms. Example, catabolism - figure out what that means and then look up examples on google. To be honest I forget some of this stuff, it has been a while. But if you are asked these specific questions then you must of been given the resources. So stop being lazy!

Re: Are we all mutants?

human beings were not built up via mutations, so I'd say no. Mutations only take away, defect, degenerate or otherwise cause malfunction, disease, or death....no mutation is known to add a new structure or a new part to an existing structure, so common descent from a one-celled organism would be im...

Oh, one more question. In regards to Alex, so heating methanol forms methane?

so it is CH3OH --> CH4 + monotomic Oxygen? Seems strange

Re: DUMAS METHOD OF DETERMINING MOLAR MASS OF A VOLATILE LIQUID

Thanks for all your input guys. I am just finishing my lab report right now.

This is off topic, but do you guys know a good website where I could get some lab gear, more specifically a light microscope?

Thanks.

Re: DUMAS METHOD OF DETERMINING MOLAR MASS OF A VOLATILE LIQUID

Yes, the whole point was to convert the methanol into a gas, that is why we are using this equation in the first place. The volume I am using in these equations are the volume of the flasks we have been using not the volume of the methanol. When it comes to molarity we weren't given it in this exper...

I also to forgot that the sample of methanol I used for all trials was 4 mL.

DUMAS METHOD OF DETERMINING MOLAR MASS OF A VOLATILE LIQUID

Ladies and Gents, I am having a bit of a difficulty writing this lab report and I would like some insight! Ok, so I conducted this experiment where I was given methanol. I placed methanol in a flask, put tine foil over the end, poked to holes in it and placed it in a hot bath. I measured the flask b...

Some people state they can listen to music and study up to par or even better. But for me, that is not true. I do not know how a person trying to study can focus better when there is another stimulus going on (in this case music). When music is being played or any other auditory stimulus when focusi...

AHAH big demand. Umm hard to say? I don't think there are any definite answers for that, but if you find some articles dealing with these topics, hook a brother up.

Thanks

Do your research. Here are some tips:

What occurs in meiosis? Know any examples of when this occurs?

What occurs in mitosis? Know any examples of when this occurs?

These questions will make you think about what occurs in these processes.

Think about this, it is a basic question.
