O I see, Does that mean shRNA is transcribed along with the genome while siRNA attacks the after double stranded RNA's have already been transcribed. Also, is it true that siRNA can only be used for transient transfections while shRNA for stable transfections since siRNA is not incorporated into th...

good for you that gamma radiation has a low capacity for ionisation :) Didn't got above the maximum radiation dosage equivalents ?

Hi there- If your c on the x-axis is in molar, then your units for E are M-1 You can then take any given A reading, divide by E, and get M not true: absorbance/extinction has no unit (because it is also equal to I/I(0) --> intensity transmitted/blanc transmittance), thus when c in molarity and l in...

omg: A = ecl with e = molar extinction coefficient, c = concentration and l = length of the light through the sample to calculate e you chose on the x-axis the concentration and on the y-axis the absorbance/extinction or whatever you call it. --> than the slope of that grapgh will be equal to delta ...

in siRNA already prepared double stranded RNA-molecules are transfected, so that is more difficult than shRNA. In shRNA a vector is made that contains a sequence that will result in the typical hairpin structure you already mentioned. --> that vector can be tranfected in a viral/viral like delivery ...

most of the time you need to be a member to see the full text articles. Probably your university has this so you can search articles via the university.

in fact: when extracting lipids with choloroform, methanol is used to dissolve the apolar lipids in the chloroform to let it dssolve in a water phase. (same effect as ethanol, only a bit better)

in a solution, the solutes will interact with the water molecules by getting hydrated and thus will 'become one' with water (due to the interaction with numerous watermolecules) --> solutions are therefore clear

--> the same occurs with non-polar compounds in an apolar solution.

i don't like this sentence, because atoms are uncharged and thus insoluble in water (just like molecules as I2: molecular compunds with non-polar bonds)

my guess is that mean is the 'normal' mean and 'geo mean' is the geometrical mean calculated as the n-th powerroot of the results multiplied with each other
