I am a peptide guy. Some killer peptides will cure influenza virus. Is it possible that some killer peptides will treat the H1N1? Any ideas or suggestions for the peptide designs?

Re: Prep. of 50X TAE buffer

My impression is that there are two kinds of EDTA, one is very acid, another is close to 7. Correct if I am wrong. You need to use the right one for your buffer.

This is just a pcr method to get your mutant library. You use your primer with SNNSNNSNNSNNSNN for regular PCR. Ligate the products to the vector and clone. You get your transformants with diversity of 2x4x4^5, if I am not wrong.

Is the receptor in GPCR/Kinase/any other enzyme family? If you know the receptor, you should try to knock it out. You need a stable cell line though. That is a big project. But many times, you get multiple receptors for one ligand. siRNA could be used for silencing.

I agree with canalon about the central dogma. The dogma will not be universal as we have deeper knowledge about viruses. Viruses are small. But definitely it is one of the most mysterious life forms in the world.

I watched a movie called Man From Earth. It is about a man who never dies. He lives since the stone age. He was mistaken for Jesus and he has seen many famous people from the ancient time. It is worth watching and thought-provoking.
