Too much DTT
I set up a reaction recently in which I was examining a cytosolic chaperone's activity. It is possible I may have had 10 mM DTT in the reaction buffer, rather than the suggested 1 mM DTT. Is it possible this could interfere with my protein's activity?

Mitochondrial Fission/Fusion and the UPS
Quick question. How is mitochondrial fission and fusion dependent on the UPS? I'm reading a paper right now that speculates lower proteasomal activity might affect mitochondrial activity via this mechanism. I was wondering how, since it doesn't give specifics.
