Re:
A lot of people consider that because 'lower' animals are not aware of themselves as individuals that they act only from an 'instinctual' drive that makes them helplessly what they are... WE as humans on the other hand, are above and somehow removed enough from nature's influence to rule our respon...

Dioxin and Heated Bottled Water
I saw this on Facebook and I would like to know if it's true or not, and how so. It's been spammed quite a bit lately. "DANGER!!!! LET EVERYONE WHO HAS A WIFE/GIRLFRIEND/ DAUGHTER/ FRIENDS AND COLLEAGUES. KNOW PLEASE! Bottled water in your car is very dangerous! On the Ellen show, Sheryl Crow s...

Overthinking Portal(2007)
I have some questions about the game Portal. Now I know the game was very fun, full of logic puzzles and a few silly jokes-- but I wanted to take things a step further. What about experimenting with the portals? Experiment #1: What if I tied a string to itself using two portals? O--(knot)--O And the...

Speedy Molecule
Is it possible for a molecule to move so fast that it doesn't affect other molecules?
If so what type- how, why? How would it stop?
I haven't done much research on this because I don't understand it, I need someone to tell me personally how this'd work.

Re: Do We Have The Freedom Of Choice?
I'm going to look it up this weekend; at the moment I'm occupied by writing a love song and doing homework. Hahaha

Re:
As far as I can tell, there is nothing that suggests we have a free will. Our neurons react to stimuli from outside and inside our bodies and react according to them, not asking our opinions. However, in a way the answer to this question is not important, since we are so immersed to the experience ...

Mutation can be caused by many factors such as chemical (DDT, CCL4), radiation, ionizing etc. It mutate the DNA in cell. If only a single is mutated, it can be replicated as usual in mitosis. Thus, the neighbor cells which are previously normal will be affected too. Current way to stop the cancer p...

Re: An idea about the origin of cancer
Hmm. If instead of "So I think that the cause of cancer ..." you wrote "So I think that a factor sometimes increasing cancer ..." then I think you have a reasonable and testable hypothesis. However, one-size-fits-all cancer mechanisms are often proposed and quashed by data. Perh...

Cancer = Mutation: Stopping Mutation Would Cure Cancer?
The other day I was feeling especially down about myself, because I want to help the world but I don't know how. Well, I mentioned cancer in a scientific debate with a friend, and I thought: Maybe I should help find the cure for cancer. Well, I looked around, and it seems that cancer is caused by mu...

Do We Have The Freedom Of Choice?
Since the body is made up of living and dead cells, including thoughts, would that make the "human being" technically predecided, and we would all be masses of cells interacting with the world in the shape of a human? I don't know if anyone's asked this before, though it may be likely. I'v...
