N.b two extra points. 1) lamarkianism was discarded by the modern synthesis. Yes that's true. There's a lot of talk of neo-lamarkianism currently, however to use the term neo-larmakianism is misguided. IAC, e.g. epigenetic changes, is only one part of lamarkianism.
