Wash-bottle

wash-bottle

A bottle with a tube passing to the bottom, through which gases are forced into water to purify them, a stoppered bottle with two tubes, one ending above and the other below a fluid, so that air blowing through the short tube forces liquid in a small stream from the free end of the long one; used for washing chemical apparatus.

... protein is inactive due to the high concentration of imidazole. Try to use a cobalt based resin and that should do the trick. You will extract and wash in absence of imidazole and then purify in low concentration s of imidazole.
