vital capacity

(Science: chest medicine, physiology) The volume of gas that can be expelled from the lungs from a position of full inspiration, with no limit to the duration of expiration, it is equal to the inspiratory capacity plus the expiratory reserve volume.

Measuring Lung capacity and volume

Instead of letting us know the figure.. what are the functions of measuring these stuff? e.g. residual, tidal, vital volumes.

Stem cell research

... some money to carry the fetus until the stem cells are at the greatest capacity, and then reask them if they want to abort the baby to make sure, ... I sure as heck don't want to be paralyzed or die young because of a bad vital organ. But that's just what I think.
