(Science: biology) describes an organism that is male or female, i.e., has the reproductive organs of only one sex. Relating to only one sex or having only one type of sexual organ; not hermaphroditic.Species that contain distinct male and female organisms like humans.

how does sex determination take place in plants ? it takes place only in unisexual plants like maize, papaya, etc,right? im a bit confused on this :oops: according to my text, "there is a different mechanism"what is this mechanism?
