Tacamahaca), and also from East indian trees of the genus Calophyllum; also, the resinous exhudation of the balsam poplar. 2. (Science: botany) Any tree yielding tacamahac resin, especially, in North America, the balsam poplar, or balm of Gilead (Populus balsamifera). ![]()
