Streptococcus agalactiae

A Beta-hemolytic, group B, bacteria that is the normal human flora for the gut and female uro-genital tract. It can cause a host of complication to neonates i.e. Pneumonia, meningitis, and septicemia. Can cause mastitis in bovines and man on rare occasion.
