Nothing to do a bout being sharp, all about hydrophobic coating of the claws. If they were made in Teflon, the blood would simply slide off without wetting the surface. And claws are usually made of proteins, and they can be hydrophobic, ...

An odd question

... loath to answer questions with "because it's magic". What I currently need to know is if it is possible for a creature to have claws so sharp that they do not retain blood. What I mean by "retain" is whether the blood the creature draws could simply slide off. So, is it possible?
