dry, wrinkled skin with presence of dry premalignant keratoses; observed most commonly in fair-skinned, blue-eyed persons who are exposed by occupation or sport to sunshine for prolonged periods and over many years.

Synonym: golfer's skin, sailor's skin.

Toxicated bird species & Leeches

... whn they were lacking fresh meat other than fish, sometimes the wind of storms,blew these quail , where they would rest on th e ship , and the sailors woud sicken and die (relatively quickly too) after eating them. And there is modern examples too.
