Ruler

ruler

1. One who rules; one who exercises sway or authority; a governor. And he made him ruler over all the land. (gen. Xii. 43) A prince and ruler of the land. (Shak)

2. A straight or curved strip of wood, metal, etc, with a smooth edge, used for guiding a pen or pencil in drawing lines. Cf. Rule, 7 . Parallel ruler. See Parallel.

... doing the [highest concentration - 0 concentration (for area) -control ] / ADH found in lanes that are not control. However, I'm left with a ruler on the image and really not knowing what to do with that. So my questions are: I'm I doing this wrong? Why is there a ruler?

... You want to measure an object that exceed the FOV of your lowest power. My first thought is that if the object is large enough, just use a ruler. But let's say it is not. I made a image to illustrate. So say you computed a FOV for your low power setting to be 4500um. Look at the picture ...

Magnification

I'm totally lost on this. If I drew a diagram that was 7cm (70000 micrometers), and the cell viewed was measured to be 3 micrometers (using ruler on ocular lens), what is the magnification of the drawing?? The lens used to view was 100X. The ocular lens is 3.5X. I know you calculate drawning ...
