oil (sebaceous) glands infected with bacteria, resulting in an inflamed area with pus formation. Pimples are due to overactivity of the oil glands located at the base of the hair follicles, especially on the face, back, chest, and shoulders.

i use to always get pimples during my peroid and start using pro-active on my face. now i don't get on my face but i will once in awhile get pus (filled) on my body different places why?
