paschal

Of or pertaining to the passover, or to Easter; as, a paschal lamb; paschal eggs. Paschal candle, a large wax candle, blessed and placed on the altar on holy Saturday, or the day before Easter. Paschal flower. See pasque flower, under Pasque.
