oestrogens, conjugated

An amorphous preparation containing water-soluble, conjugated forms of mixed oestrogens obtained from urine of pregnant mares. The principal oestrogen present is sodium estrone sulfate. The total oestrogenic potency of the preparation is expressed in terms of an equivalent quantity of sodium estrone sulfate.
