A way of classifying organisms into taxonomic categories by comparing the amount of similarities they share between one another. Numerical taxonomy is in essence the numerical evaluation of the affinities and similiarities between taxonomic entities or unit and the ordering of these units into taxa on the basis of their affinites.It converts the information content of a taxa to numerical quantitatives and its aim is in its objectivity and repeatability. ![]()
