Idionodal

Arising from the a-v node itself; applied to the ventricular rhythm in complete S-A or a-v block, or in other forms of a-v dissociation, when the a-v node rather than an ectopic ventricular focus controls the ventricles. More accurately idiojunctional, since it is usually impossible to more accurately locate an A-V nodal rhythm; the a-v node is part of the a-v junction.
