Ibotenic acid

(Science: chemical) Alpha-amino-3-hydroxy-5-isoxazoleacetic acid. Neurotoxic isoxazole substance found in amanita muscaria and a. Pantherina. It causes motor depression, ataxia, and changes in mood, perceptions and feelings, and is a potent excitatory amino acid agonist.
