(Science: chemistry) The calcium phosphate mineral, Ca10(PO4)6(OH)2, found both in rocks of nonorganic origin and as a component of bone and dentine. Used as column packing for chromatography, particularly for separating double stranded dna from mixtures containing single stranded dna.
