Globule

2. (Science: biology) a minute spherical or rounded structure; as blood, lymph, and pus corpuscles, minute fungi, spores, etc.

3. A little pill or pellet used by homeopathists.

Origin: L. Globulus, dim. Of globus globe: cf. F. Globule.
