G actin

G actin --> globular actin

(Science: protein) a short polypeptide Chain of 375 amino acids which is the monomeric unit of the protein actin (one of the two proteins involved in muscle contraction). Many units of g actin join together in a polymer to make an actin filament.

are the actin and myosin filiments locked in place during a muscle cramp, if they are is it because there is no ATP and if thats not true, what is causing the muscle to cramp? Thankyou

Thanks! Yes even though there is a lot of actin involed in the cytostructure I do believe that water is the most dominant molecule in a cell
