1. Bearing tufts of soft hairs or wool which tend to rub off and adhere in small masses. Spotted with small tufts like wool.

2. (Science: botany) Having tufts of soft hairs, which are often deciduous.

Origin: L. Floccosus. Cf. 2d flock.
