Eeg --> electroencephalogram

(Science: investigation) a diagnostic test which measures the electrical activity of the brain (brain waves) using high sensitive recording equipment attached to the scalp by fine electrodes.

Commonly employed in the evaluation of neurological disease (for example seizures, epilepsy, etc.).
