Diflunisal

(Science: chemical) 2',4'-difluoro-4-hydroxy-(1,1'-biphenyl)-3-carboxylic acid. A salicylate derivative and anti-inflammatory analgesic with actions and side effects similar to those of aspirin.

Pharmacological action: non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agents, cyclooxygenase inhibitors.
