(Science: psychology) The tendency of an individual or individuals to rely on others for advice, guidance, or support. Being abnormally tolerant to and dependent on something that is psychologically or physically habit-forming (especially alcohol or narcotic drugs).

... of t cells, neurons, etc. as a way to fight brain injuries and virus. one could surmise that, in a sci-fi type work, reorganizing and reducing the dependency on this redundancy would allow for an existing body to lose cells, and size. What do you think? Leap of faith, movie wise?

transient transfection with luciferase system

... that 2 days after transfection the cells "skip" the plasmid but I would do longer treatments and would like to see if there is a time dependency. But if the cells loose the plasmid before I measure the luciferase I'm not able to see any effect... Hm, maybe someone has a few experience ...
