Deaths-head

Deaths-head

a naked human skull as the emblem of death; the head of the conventional personification of death. I had rather be married to a deaths-head with a bone in his mouth.

(Science: zoology) (Shak) deaths-head moth, a very large European moth (Acherontia atropos), so called from a figure resembling a human skull on the back of the thorax.

Synonym: deaths-head sphinx.

... to humans because of the limited amount of venom they can generate. Vote: I'd have to say King Cobra, because I don't think there are any recorded deaths from Taipan bites.

Natural selection is proven wrong

... and other food allergies does not follow a NS model. But, without medical intervention, we'd see natural selection occurring with the unfortunate deaths of many children.

... also useful to note that although the brown snake does not possess as potent a venom as many of the other species, it is the culprit of many more deaths than say the taipan as it is encountered more frequently.
