(Science: cell biology) striated muscle thick filament associated proteins (140-150 kd) that show up in the c zone of the a Band as 43nm transverse stripes. Structurally related to various other myosin binding proteins (twitchin, titin, myosin light chain kinase, skelemin, 86 kd protein, projectin, M protein).
