Neither yeast (spores are everywhere) nor mycoplasma (you are probably carrying some on your hands right now) don't care squat about antibiotics.

why is it important in cell culture to work under aseptic conditions when the growth medium already contains antibiotics? Any ideas?

Sterilization of paper rolls

Buy new toilet rolls, they should be safe. Not aseptic, but probably no more (and probably less) contaminated than anything around. Unless you are working with some Bubble children, without any immune system this is just a waste of time. Or are ...
