Algebra

1. (Science: mathematics) That branch of mathematics which treats of the relations and properties of quantity by means of letters and other symbols. It is applicable to those relations that are true of every kind of magnitude.

2. A treatise on this science.

Origin: LL. Algebra, fr. Ar. Al-jebr reduction of parts to a whole, or fractions to whole numbers, fr. Jabara to bind together, consolidate; al-jebr w'almuqabalah reduction and comparison (by equations): cf. F. Algebre, It. & sp. Algebra.

... one using chi-square test. it's a test used to prove whether an experiment goes on well. This can be misleading, since AA = p^2 = 0.5 Using algebra you can make the assumption that p = root 0.5 = 0.707 which is false

Questions about cells, atoms, respiratory system

Wow, there might be a state with an education system even worse than Louisiana? On a serious not, you might want to at least take algebra before going to college, and preferably geometry and algebra II if you can.

... messed up from moving schools so many times... Im dreading college because even though Ive got all the math credits I need, Iv never gone past Pre-Algebra. Sorry I guess Im just really behind as in what Ive learned but ahead as in credit amount... does that make since? lol iowa's messed up Im not ...

How on earth do you do that??? Like seriously, Im still in Pre-Algebra. I just absolutely love Biology so I worked my ass off and now I'm in AP which is just fine until the Math gets involved... I dont even know what 'Calculate for each plot on the graph' ...

Why are leaves green?

All electrons are the same size. I strongly suggest reading up the physics first. Otherwise it would be like teaching calculus without algebra.
