1. They'll be produced at the ribosome, but that'll be unimportant compared to where they'll aggregate finally. I'm guessing your protein is addressed to the membrane? 2. Might be measuring activity vs location. 5. Transcription direction

... The issue is risk vs return i.e. how are GM crops superior to "natural" crops and vice versa. Then address the risks. You might want to aggregate the risks/benefits in terms of ecological, human(consumer), economic(farmers and developers) impact.
