(Science: zoology) Situated opposite to, or away from, the mouth.

Origin: L. Ab. _ E. Oral. Opposite to or away from the mouth; the aboral surface of a starfish.Pertaining to away from the mouth in organisms with no distinct front or back sides. An example of such an aboral organism is an earthworm.
