okay... the question is just simple :shock:

Isn't it that the abdomen is practically unprotected by a skeletal system. Why? i mean.. what are the advantages of such structural arrangement?

because of how they cut/slice (watever it is they do) the specimen? ..

is that why there's a thing seen "cross-section" on the slides?

The bone cells or osteocytes are embedded in a celcified matrix, right?...

But Why is it that the bone prepared by the grinding method will not show the osteocytes but only the cavities or lacunae.?

* i dont know what the grinding method is.
