classification of strange colony

Postby robe0239 on Tue Apr 29, 2008 2:58 am

hey there folks.
i was wondering if anyone would know how to classify this colony. it is large- about 7mm across, and was growing on nutrient agar. the bacteria was swabbed from within the ovaries of Dicathais orbita, a predatory marine whelk.
i'm just not quite sure how to describe the texture or appearance of this thing. is it rugose?
thanking folks in advance for any help
