Human Systems? Help please...?!!

Postby 2plus3 on Sun Apr 27, 2008 4:01 pm

Hi, i hope someone can help clarify this for me. I have some work to do on how the different systems work etc, but is it correct to say that the systems sometimes need another organ from another system to ba able to do the required job? For example, blood suagr levels, to maintain the safe levels, sometimes the liver cells are required to change glycogen into glucose and vise versa, and the liver is in the digestive system, where as the pancreas, whose job it is to maintain the levels, is in the endocrine system? I AM SO CONFUSED as this is something not even mentioned in class yet and i am wondering if i am getting this all wrong and mixed up or maybe i am right? ANY HELP GREATLY APPRECIATED.
thanks xxx :)

The pancreas is also in the digestive system. The organs do not "belong" to systems. The sytems are just a conceptual way of grouping a specific combo of organs.
