A couple questions about metabolism...Hey guys, I just had a few questions about metabolism and some things related to it :
1) In terms of differences between aerobic/anaerobic metabolism, I need to list 3 major differences. I have 2 so far, one in the use of oxygen, and the other difference that aerobic metabolism produces a ton more ATP. Stuck on the third difference though, any suggestions? 2) the relationship between glucose and galactose...I know they are isomers ,but is there a specific name for them? 3) Should yeast metabolize in the presence of galactose as it does in the presence of glucose, or not? I'm thinking it shouldn't but I can't decide why, and the results from my lab seem to suggest otherwise Help on any of these would be really appreciated, thanks guys!
