study of herbal antiseptics on ecoli

hi i am working on the project(effects of herbal antiseptics on ecoli)
can anyone give me a protocol of the same?????????????
i am just interested in finding out the estimated number of ecoli b4 & after d exp.

In short:
- Dilute (in 10 fold increments)
- Plate (a known volume, on a rich non selective medium, if possible in triplicates)
- Count (the colonies, on plate with between 30 and 300 colonies, and with the average and the dilution factor you can compare the number of colonies per inoculum in your different conditions)
