Assigning genetic symbols and making hypothesisHi everyone, I have here a set of data showing the phenotypes of a same generation of Drosophila. What genetic symbols should I assign to the alleles involved and what null hypothesis and ratio should I make for this mode of interitance of genes from this data set?
wild type, males 87 wild type, females 171 orange eyes, males 27 orange eyes, females 51 black body, males 96 orange eyes, black body, males 18 Since there isn't any black body females and orange eye/black body females, I believe it is sexed inheritance. What else about the mode of inheritance can I tell from it? Thanks
