Does infection come with fever? Can anyone enlighten me on this?
Great thinking, great effort and great spirit produce great work ----- and a great man is born.
I am not aware of fever per se leading to an infection.
Fever usually results from certain types of infection and is thought to be beneficial in eliminating the infection (although high fever itself can be dangerous). Fever can also result from non-infectious causes.
when we have infections, the macrophage will secrete interleukins (IL-6) to induce fever, rite? why our immune system can work better at just a slightly higher temperature? will the pathogens be killed just because of this slight rise in temperature?

There are various different pyrogens which can affect the temperature regulation centre in the brain leading to a fever. Some infections lead to a lowering of body temperature. Many pathogenic bacteria have a narrow range for survival and reproduction and are more susceptible to the body’s immune response as a result of fever. Though some question the usefulness of a fever in combating infections it seems to have been preserved during our evolutionary history so the advantages probably outweigh the disadvantages.
well a fever is a physiological response of the organism to help the organism prevent further infections.
The heat that is produced as a result of fever is more than enough to kill most of the bacteria present on the outer layer of the skin and thus prevent the organism from catching another infection while the organism's immune system is busy fighting the infection inside the body. VaIbHaV tYaGi
