genes: domenent and recessive.

I have heard about how the 'brown' gene is a dommenent gene (IE it takes two 'blue' genes to beat a 'brown' gene) and my question today is: how does DNA become domenet/reccessive? It seems that a (I'll be it complex) molecule (chain?) wouldn't be able to "dominate" the cells.
I find the biology of lesser spiecies fascenating..... thats why I study humans :twisted:

Why is the digit 99 greater than digit 98?
The dominant and recessive Genes are determined by experimenting the progeny for particular charecteristics or genes.

Have you guys ever considered an FAQ? I guess that may be a lot of work. Just a thought though.

It isn't the gene that's dominant, really - it's the protein variant that it codes for.
