Has anyone used this book? Is it worth the big pricetag?

No!! Don't buy it, you'll be wasting money. That is because the 8th Edition is out....
But yes, Campbell is the best biology book ever written...

I have to buy it for class this semester. I have to buy like $700.00 worth of books this semester.
The prof is using 7ed so I better get that one. I think I will ask him about the 8th ed.

Mith, how did you like the class? Was it like a chem class?

It was for Biology. Good book, comprehensive but not very useful if you're not going into the field. Mine cost around 80(international edition-paperback).

If anyone is interested- I am selling:

I just finished my Bio sequence and have 2 Biology by Campbell 7th ed books and 1 study guide that compliments the book for sale.

One is an International edition, it is the same as the US edition except it is a paperback. It is in excellent shape.

The other WAS a hardcover book - I took it to Kinko's and had them cut the spine off and 3 hole punch it so I could only carry the chapters that I needed. All pages are there and it is in excellent shape.

The study guide came as a 3 hole punched text. It is in great shape, too.

There is writing and highlighting, but other than that they are a year old.

International Biology Text: $65

Biology Text: $65

Study Guide: $15

Shipping is $15 --I will ship USPS Priority Mail
