Wolves kill and damage livestock and family pets, especially cows and young horses.
Many people argue that wolves are hunting as nature intended them too, but before they moved canadian wolf packs into the lamar valley none of these problems had occured for years. The repopulation of wolves has caused more problems than anything.

Wolves are pests. Coyotes don't even bother farms as badly as wolves and even black bears. I'm am by no means saying wolves should be extinct but I am saying that they are not as amazing of creatures as people view them to be, and different laws should be set to control them.

Yes they sound like the worst pest there is now, I can understand why people would hate them so much.

[Jones]

Yeah and now people actually think it would be a good idea to expand yellowstone and intorduce more wolves.
They would expand to about where I live, and the reintroducted wolves would not last long.

Again, I can see the problems there. Why don't they Introduce them into a large national park?

[Jones]

They have, they just get out of hand too quickly.
Wolves are like smart coyotes but twice as deadly to livestock.

Then the park isn't large enough then, that is a problem.

A lot of people hate the grizzly for similar reasons (get in the way of human activity) also with the mountain lion.

Just because something gets in the way of human activity doesn't mean it isn't an amazing animal. The animals (obvious to everyone, i know) aren't thinking about getting in the way of humans, they just want to eat and pass their genes on.

Coyotes are all we have here in KS, and they are very hated and many would love if they would all go away. Along with Red Tailed Hawks and Blue Herons, not to mention insects of all kinds, which none of us could live without

I think we as humans need to be the ones to put most of the effort of fixing the problem, because the wolf is always going to get out of the parks. No idea what a solution would be and I understand why farmers hate wolves.

It is dangerous to base the amazingness of an animal with the way they effect humans.

[Edit adding:] We are the biggest pests on the planet, anyway.

We are the biggest pests and we cause the most problems.

[Jones]

It's not dangerous in any form of the word, wolves are not amazing they're like wild dogs but more annoying.
And the park is plenty big, the control isn't good enough!

It is dangerous, because then us humans do stupid things like over use DDT because we arn't smart enough to figure enough about ecology to be messing around with nature.

We'll just have to disagree again, I suppose.
