Blood Pressure medication and noradrenilineHow would blood pressure medication interact with noradreniline and seratonin levels?
Re: Blood Pressure medication and noradrenilineBeta blockers antagonise the effect of noradrenaline on b2 adrenoreceptors within the heart but i don't think this affect neurotransmitter levels...
Diuretics, ACE inhibitors and calcium antagonists will not interact at all... edit: i'm intrigued why do you asked the question... it seems a bit random to me...
Re: Blood Pressure medication and noradrenilineThis is where a little bit of information can be dangerous. I'm sure I asked the wrong question. I was watching a program on Brain function and it was mentioned that acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter may be affected by blood pressure medications and change your feelings of being alert and how 'bright' you feel. Since I have lost all zest for life (not depressed) and take a number of blood pressure pills I thought I could take my doctor an educated guess and google brought me here.
I'm way over my head - but thank you for responding!
Re: Blood Pressure medication and noradrenilineI think you are coming to crazy conclusions based on a inaccurate TV program...
It's probably best for you to see your GP...
