how do i culture or gather cyanobacteria from mangrove pneumatophores? please help me by sending me a protocol about culturing cyanobacteria! thanks guys! :D

are u goin to take the cyanobacteria from water sample or at root region? u may be can tk the sample from waters at root region. besides that, u also cn tk sieve the root region, as ur sample.

im suppose to take samples from the root region. the problem lies on how to propagate it in peteri plates... does sanyone know any protocol or steps on how to culture cyanobacteria in a laboratory setting? thanks! :)

well it depends on your species. Generally cianobacteria don't need anything except for air and water...

cyanobacteria are nitrogen fixers so you can help isolate them by growing in a nitrogen free culture.
